The Lincoln Business Journal listed many of Bock’s accomplishments at a luncheon at the Cornhusker Marriot on May 30, 2008.

When Nick Bock and his business partner began Five Nines Technology Group in October 2006, they had a mutual vision for service and growth. They grew the IT support and consulting business from 3 to 15 people over the past year and a half. Bock helped create a company vision by seeking out employees who had an ability to build relationships and strong technical skill-sets. His company also built strong vendor relationships with industry leaders such as Cisco and Microsoft.

His efforts helped to more than double the revenue growth of Five Nines over the past year. His achievements were recognized as the Small Business of the Year by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce in 2007.

Before forming Five Nines Technology Group, Bock co-founded Nebraska IT at the age of 29 to provide consulting and IT support for health care and general businesses. Nebraska IT merged with Bowen Coinsulting to create a business with the ability to expand and provide more reliable support to their existing client base.

Bock, who holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Union College, started his career in high school education and technology. With this background he transitioned to a full-time Information Technology role.

Bock maintains involvement with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, the Young Professionals Group and the Lincoln Independent Business Association. He also serves on the school board for College View Academy.
